CRAFTING CONDITIONS FOR DECENTRING SCHOLARSHIP AND PEDAGOGY IN DRAMA, THEATRE, PERFORMANCE STUDIES AND DANCE

Emma Willis is a Senior Lecturer in Drama at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and editor of Performance Paradigm. Her research interests include: spectatorship and ethics in contemporary performance, the theatre of Aotearoa New Zealand, tourism and memorial culture, kindness, metatheatrical dramaturgies, and subjectivity and community in contemporary performance. Publications include, Metatheatrical Dramaturgies of Violence: Staging the Role of Theatre (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021), Theatricality, Dark Tourism and Ethical Spectatorship: Absent Others (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014) and articles in Theatre Journal, Text and Performance Quarterly, Performance Research, Theatre Research International, Studies in Theatre and Performance, Global Performance Studies and Australasian Drama Studies.
