Glen Walton is a multimedia artist working across visual arts, performance, theatre, music, interactive design and digital instrument construction. Glen’s work explores cutting edge and genre-defying art, performance, interaction and community engagement. Glen is also artistic director of digital arts company Playable Streets. Playable Streets engage and re-connect communities through collaborative art in public spaces, at home and online. The company is a team of theatre-makers, visual artists, designers, engineers and composers creating site-specific installations that transform public space, create interactive art books and conduct online experiments. Playable Streets has created a series of works that explore public collaboration and collective play. The company work with communities to tell their stories in new ways. They also present workshops for a diverse range of participants exploring the intersection of music, technology, art and design.
