Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation are the legally recognised Corporation, custodians, decision makers and knowledge holders for looking after, managing and protecting our Cultural Heritage since being appointed as the Registered Aboriginal Party in May 2009. Legally recognized under the Cultural Heritage Act.
Wadawurrung people are committed to working with our members, neighbours, government agencies, land and water managers and the broader community as we protect and heal Country together for all people.
To ensure our goals and aspirations are met, we have created our 10-year vision statement Paleert Tjarra Dja – Let’s make country good together 2020-2030. Wadawurrung Country Plan. It is our collective dream and direction for the future of our people and Country. It tells the story of what is important to us, and what we need to do about it. It will be a guide for building upon our cultural heritage management work and progressing our broader Caring for Country aspirations.
